Ate Liezl's Spa Party...

We had a Spa Party to celebrate ate Liezl's birthday last August 24 at the Grand Villa Resort and Butterfly Center in Bay, Laguna.... we had lots of fun and photos!








It was a day of fun, bonding, relaxing and experience! Thanks for looking everyone!

We crop every other weekend...

First Crop
Here's our first weekend crop last June 7 at Dra. Chiqui's place... the instructions were as follows: scrap on a plain cardstock for the base paper, 75% white space, use stamps, use at least 5 buttons, and use a metal embellishment. Present during the crop were Timi, ate Liezl, Helga, Dra. Chiqui and myself. Dra. Rita was on house arrest that time, but she still made a layout later.

Second Crop
Our second weekend crop was held in my place last June 21... Following Helga's BINGO card instructions, we have to scrap a page with the following: use transparency, use 5 different fonts for the title, use stamps, use plain white cardstock for the base paper and use at least 1 black and white photo. Everybody came but so sorry we didn't have a photo to share. Here are our finished layouts... TFL!

A Lot to be Thankful!

What a news! Timi was chosen as the Guest Design Team Member for the month of May at Scrapper's Haven...do watch for her projects and layouts very soon!

Timi won the grandprize for the "Nothing but Paper Contest" of the Peek into Yesterday. She's very lucky to win $25 worth of gift certificate! Here is her winning layout "My Suit Life..."

CHIQUI
She won the first place at the Scrapmuse March Challenge! It's Chiqui's first international win and we are all so proud of her!Julia greeted her Mom with a "Hooray!" and with her hands clapping up in the air. Here's her winning piece "My Pride and Joy"...

ISSA
I won the "Shackin' up with the Design Team" of Itty Bitty Scrapshack last week! I scraplifted Angela Heldt's "4 a Day" lo and came up with "Chopsticks"... a layout for Luigi! My prize is a layout from Angela and she will mail the original piece to me... I'm so excited for this!

Easter Happening!

Last Sunday, March 23, we celebrated Easter with our families. It was the 2nd LB Scrapaholics Easter Egg Hunting and Family Day! Plus, there were birthday celebrants also, Danna (Timi's daughter) and Dodo (my hubby). We all gathered up at Timi's office at the UPLB Agronomy building and started partying at 4PM. We were all there except for Cors and husband Deds, and Ytet and her family... sayang, you miss a lot of fun and photo opps.

UP Rural High School's HE-AGGIE Fair

Dra. Rita, Dra. Chiqui, Cors, Timi and I were at UP Rural High School last Thursday, February 21, 2008. We lectured on altered art using old CDs to about 40 Home Economics-Club Members.




There were about 15 students who finished the 2-CD project, but only 11 brought photos. We will be giving a little something for the 11 girls who finished their projects. Please watch out for the slide, We'll post the finished projects soon...

More Winnings...

Ytet called me up that same Saturday night and told me to open my computer to see the news myself... Scrapbukan's MM Noteworthy Challenge winners were posted in their site and I was so excited to see...

Liezl Arellano bagged the grand prize with 35 points!


I got the second and third place! Scoring both 33 points...


Sabi nga nila... Umuulan or inuulan na naman ang LB! Salamat po sa lahat ng bumati... sa Scrapbukan, My Little Attic and Scrapbooks Hawaii for putting up all these challenges, sa lahat ng inspirations to create and scrap!

Los Banos did it again!!!

Last Saturday-- Helga, Timi, Ytet, Yvette and I, attended the February Eyeball of the Scrap Exchange Group, sponsored by the ever-generous Nette Madero of My Little Attic and Marisa of Scrapbooks Hawaii. We were all really excited to come, but unfortunately some of us like Rita, Liezl, Cors and Chiqui couldn't make it because of some earlier commitments. We cannot miss this event knowing that MLA and SB will be giving tons of discounts. And we always wanted to support Nette and Marisa's challenges... and so we waited to know the winners of their contests... and we were all so lucky to win!!!

According to Timi, it's her first time to win in a local on-line challenge. She got the grand prize for MLA's Pop Culture Challenge...
